The Falklands War 1982 - 'A Close Run Thing'
Online Talk and Live Q&A with Brigadier David Chaundler
AVAILABLE NOW (First StreamedLive: 7pm BST, 18th May 2022)
David Chaundler took over command of the Second Battalion of the Parachute Regiment (2 PARA) after his old friend ‘H’ Jones was killed in the Battle for Goose Green. David was in England at the time and parachuted into the South Atlantic, arriving in Goose Green four days after the battle. 2 PARA then opened-up the southern flank, witnessed the air attack on the Sir Galahad and Sir Tristram, before moving up onto the northern flank and the Battle for Wireless Ridge. He and 2 PARA went on to take Port Stanley - against orders.
