The Main Gallery

You'll find Oxfordshire county and regimental timelines at the entrance to our Main Gallery, but once you enter you'll find a series of self-contained 'pods' which cover a diverse range of stories, topics and themes.

Art Submissions

We accept art exhibition submissions on an ongoing basis.

The museum looks at artistic vision and merit, relevance to our audiences, diversity, and budget when considering any proposal.

Individual artists and curators working in any media or discipline are welcome to apply.

Exhibitions may be selected from submitted proposals as well from those initiated by the museum team.

Our Recreated Great War Trench, installed by local Cadets
Our recreated Second World War shelter was supported by a Crowdfunder campaign and built by volunteers in 2022
You'll find a range of the museum's collection of campaign and gallantry medals on display in dedicated cases all year round.
Opened in 2023, The Oxfordshire Gallantry Board highlights the stories of the county's most courageous individuals, both soldiers and civilians
