The Civil Wars in Oxfordshire: Human costs and consequences
In this online talk and live Q&A, Professor Andrew Hopper will explore the people's experience of the Civil Wars in the city of Oxford and the county of Oxfordshire. It will uncover many local human-interest stories of loss, suffering and survival. It will pay particular attention to those wounded, widowed and orphaned by the war, drawn from the recently completed Civil War Petitions Project.
