Development Co-Ordinator (Part Time)

The Role
The Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum is looking for an experienced and dynamic Development Co-ordinator to support our fundraising plans as we approach our tenth-year anniversary next year.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Working with the Museum Director and Fundraising Committee to identify potential trusts and foundations in support of specific projects, making applications and managing the end of project reporting.
- Leading on the delivery of our Friends scheme.
- Organising fundraising events; both one off and annual events with our Public Engagement Manager.
- With the museum team, supporting the development of new income generation activities.
The Person
To excel at this role, you’ll be organised, creative and resourceful with an aptitude to support a varied fundraising programme. You will enjoy making new connections and want to grow a strong team of advocates around you and the museum to achieve fundraising targets.

Freelance Opportunity - Museum Learning Resource Developer
Background
The Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum is an independent military museum and will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2024. Since it opened in 2014 which saw the start of the commemorations around centenary of the first World War it has welcomed a range of schools into its galleries and has offered learning opportunities from Early Years to adult learning. As we approach our anniversary, we want to have a complete review of our learning offer and have a clear understanding of the future for learning at the museum.
Learning at the museum
The museum is looking for an experienced educator with a thorough understanding of the current curriculum, experience of teaching and creating educational resources (to include digital outputs) as well as an enthusiasm for making new partnerships which will strengthen the education offer.

Education and Family Learning Workshop Leaders (Casual)
Job Specification
The Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum offers school workshops and runs family learning activities throughout the year. Workshop leaders would support the core staff in delivering formal learning sessions and on occasion run sessions themselves. This might range from handling box sessions to gallery activities predominantly with primary school children.
Workshop leaders would run informal family activities at the museum at weekends and during school holidays either on their own or with others depending on the nature of the event.
Rate of pay: £15 per hour. Setting up, clearing away as necessary and running the workshop sessions. Allowance will be given for any workshop planning and programme meetings.

Party Host and Workshop Leaders (Casual)
Job Specification
The Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum offers a great children’s party package. We are looking for outgoing and fun Party Hosts with experience of leading games and crafts with primary age children to help co-ordinate the parties and ensure everyone has a great time!
Parties tend to be booked on a Saturday during the day, morning and afternoon, but occasionally they may be booked during school holiday weekdays and on occasional Sundays when we are open to the public. Party Hosts need to be available most Saturdays and as necessary in the school holidays as our parties are very popular and we have frequent bookings.
Rate of pay: £45 per party. Setting up, clearing away as necessary and running the 2-hour party package.

Front of House Duty Manager (Casual)
Reporting to: Museum Director
Objective: To provide a welcoming and professional service to museum visitors and users.
Hours: As required. This will include Bank Holidays and weekends.
Salary: £10.42 per hour
