Gathering Falklands Stories

Marking the 45th Anniversary of The Falklands War

Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum will be marking the 45th anniversary of The Falklands War in 2027 with a series of talks and events, and we'd love to expand our collection of objects and stories related to the 1982 conflict as well.

Though the Oxfordshire county regiments were not deployed to the Falklands, our collections already expand beyond this to objects and stories with wider military and county connections, from all branches of the Armed Forces. So if you're a Falklands veteran from Oxfordshire, or have a family story related to the war, we'd love to hear from you.

Objects and photos are of as much interest as personal stories and memories - we are also expanding our Oral History archives beyond the Second World War, so if you'd be happy to record an interview about your experiences, let us know.
