As Lee Miller: A Woman at War reaches its final weekend, join photographer, visual artist and exhibition collaborator Ania Ready for a special exhibition tour exploring the stories behind some of Lee Miller's most extraordinary photographs.

Having helped select images for the exhibition and researched the timeline tracing Miller's journey across wartime Europe, Ania offers a unique perspective on both the photographs and the remarkable woman who made them.

Together, you'll trace Lee Miller's path from the liberation of Paris and Luxembourg to the concentration camps at Buchenwald and Dachau, discovering the people, places and moments behind the images. You'll hear how she broke military regulations to photograph active combat, was placed under house arrest for doing so, and continued to work with extraordinary courage and determination in places where few women, and few photographers, were able to go.

As a practising photographer, Ania will also look closely at how Miller made her pictures. Why do certain images stay with us? How did her years as a Surrealist shape the way she framed scenes of war, destruction and survival? What makes her photographs not only vital historical documents but enduring works of art?

Moving beyond the exhibition labels, this tour offers fresh insight into Lee Miller's life, work and legacy, revealing the stories, artistic choices and moments of bravery that shaped one of the twentieth century's most original photographers.

The afternoon concludes with a tasting inspired by one of Lee Miller’s own cake recipes, celebrating a lesser-known side of her remarkable creativity.
