Saturday afternoon talk with author and Chair of the Shepard Trust, James Campbell.

100 years on from the first publication of the Winnie-the-Pooh books, and one year on from the exhibition of Shepard's work at the museum, overseer of the E. H. Shepard artistic and literary estate James Campbell discusses the lives of both Shepard and A. A. Milne.

Based on his recently published book of the same name, in this talk James brings to life these two remarkable men,
using never-before-seen archival material – including excerpts from original manuscripts and drawings, draft illustrations, photographs, documents, ephemera and more.

Discover the story of Shepard and Milne, from their early professional and personal relationships, their First World War service and their work at Punch magazine, all the way to the Second World War and beyond.

Your talk ticket includes gallery admission on the day. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session, as well as your chance to pick up a copy of the book and get it signed by the author.
