Armed Forces Day at Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum

Drop in, 11am - 4pm

Join us in honouring and celebrating the Armed Forces community, including current serving personnel, veterans, service families, and cadets, at our special Armed Forces Day event at the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum.

The day will feature free admission to the museum. Explore brand-new exhibitions, such as ‘E.H. Shepard: Before and Beyond Winnie-the-Pooh’, and discover the famous illustrator’s little-known story of his First World War service. To mark the 80th anniversary, take a look at ‘Conflict to Peace: Celebrating VE and VJ Day’, and learn about the local stories of the men and women who contributed to the Second World War.

Throughout the day, get involved in a variety of activities, including living history displays that bring the past to life, engaging stalls and demonstrations, interactive games for all ages, and delicious refreshments available throughout the event.

This day is for everyone – whether you’re a veteran, a service family member, or simply someone who wants to show their appreciation for those who serve in the Armed Forces.

Entry is free to all members of the armed forces community - serving personnel, cadets, veterans and their families.

We ask others to consider making a donation on entry, proceeds supporting the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Trust and our ability to run further events like this one.

This is an open event, pre booking not required.
