Family Activity Days at SOFO Museum

Come and explore our family-friendly museum and take part in themed craft activities! Create a work of art together, have a go at some wartime skills, or discover things old and new in one of our nostalgic trails. A perfect afternoon escape for grandchildren and grandparents!

Summer Holidays

Friday 28th July 2023 - Build your own Badges - be inspired by the many types of badges and buttons in the museum!

Thursday 3rd August 2023, 2pm - 4pm - Joint workshop with The Oxfordshire Museum, make some postcards in the museum garden! What picture will you send home?

Friday 4th August 2023 - Build your own model Anderson Shelter!

Friday 11th August 2023 - Have a go at writing a letter home, like many soldiers did during the war. What would you say?

Thursday 17th August 2023, 2pm - 4pm - Joint workshop with The Oxfordshire Museum, make your own helmet under the camouflage of the museum garden!

Friday 18th August 2023 - Make your own papercraft Spitfire model. How well will yours fly?

Friday 25th August 2023 - Craft your own Poppy, a symbol of the Great War and remembrance.

Friday 1st September 2023 - Build your own Badges - be inspired by the many types of badges and buttons in the museum!
