A wooden mannequin, “Jolly Boy”, a piece of dowelling fixed to his back and made to dance on a flat piece of wood.This belonged to Private T. A. Franklin, Queen’s Own Oxfordshire Hussars. At times when morale was low he would entertain his fellow soldiers with “Jolly Boy” by singing.
