Special talks, tours and outreach services for groups
The Museum runs bespoke events for local interest groups. For all services please contact frontofhouse@sofo.org.uk or ring 01993 810211.



  • Book a talk or tour at the Museum
    Let us know the subject you are interested in and we will provide the right expert to facilitate your visit. Prices start from £40 and your members qualify for the group admission rate of £3.50 per person. In addition, you can book tea, coffee and home-made cakes or wine and nibbles.

  • We come out to you!
    Please contact us if you would like a presentation for your group at your regular meeting place. We have a range of talks and object handling sessions to suit the specific interests of your members. Prices start at £45.

  • Special needs groups
    The Museum is fully accessible and we welcome visits from groups with special needs. Please ask about handling sessions and activities for community groups of all ages, both at the Museum and at your usual venue.

  • Young people’s community groups
    The Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum regularly hosts young people’s groups, from artists to Cadets and Cub Scouts. We provide fun educational group visits and can help facilitate more structured workshops on request. Our education admission price starts at £2.75 per person.

  • Extra services
    Would your group like to borrow a case of fascinating objects? Our handling boxes are available to community groups. Hire charge £15 per week.
