Planning Permission

Planning Permission

14th Sep 2010

Monday 13th September 2010: the County Council Planning Committee endorsed the plans put forward by the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Trust to build new galleries within the grounds of The Oxfordshire Museum, Woodstock.

The Chairman of the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Trust, Brigadier Ian Inshaw, welcomed the planning decision. “We are delighted that the planning authority has given planning permission for this project.  We will now be working closely with the County Council and The Oxfordshire Museum to deliver the best outcome for all.”

In the meantime, the Trust’s exhibitions at Woodstock continue to be open to the public and its office in Woodstock remains busy. Moreover, the Trust’s volunteers are very happy to try to answer queries about the regiments of the county and the contribution of the people of the county to the nation’s conflicts.  Visitors by appointment are welcome.
